The interior is calm and straightforward, with some decent stained glass and a peaceful atmosphere that cuts through the bustle outside.

It's worth an hour if you're passing through Portsmouth anyway, particularly if you're interested in naval history - the location matters as much as the building itself, sitting as it does near the waterfront and HMS Victory. Not a destination in its own right, but a solid stop if you're combining it with the Historic Dockyard or wandering the cobbled streets of Old Portsmouth. Free entry as far as I'm aware, though donations are expected.

For caravan park visitors, you're within easy reach from Kingfisher (2.9 miles) or Mill Rythe Coastal Village (6.2 miles). Lee-on-the-Solent is your nearest town, though Portsmouth itself is just a short drive and worth half a day of your holiday.
