Standing 178 metres above sea level, this modest hill might not set your heart racing, but the views from the top are properly rewarding. The walk up takes about 20 minutes from the nearest parking spot, following a well-worn path through heather and gorse that's alive with birdsong in spring.

From the summit, you'll catch sight of the Menai Strait on a clear day, with Snowdonia's peaks forming a dramatic backdrop across the water. It's a cracking spot for photographers, particularly in late afternoon when the light catches the surrounding farmland just right.

Walkers will find this a gentle introduction to Anglesey's uplands - nothing too challenging, making it suitable for families with older children who can manage the moderate incline. Dog owners love it here too, though keep them on leads during lambing season.

The hill sits just outside Dulas, making it an easy addition to a coastal holiday. Several caravan parks cluster within a couple of miles, including Minffordd Caravan Park and Dulas Meadow, so you could easily tackle this before breakfast or as an evening stroll. Allow an hour round trip, longer if you fancy a proper sit-down at the top with a flask of tea.
