For families based at Midshires Way Campsite or Cossiwild Camping, it's worth knowing it exists, but don't expect anything beyond standard library fare. The real draw in this corner of Leicestershire is outdoors - Bradgate Park, five miles away, offers far better value for a day out, with proper walking trails and actual views. If you're desperate for indoor activities or need to use the computers to sort something out, Loughborough Library does the job competently enough. Just check opening hours before you go, as they're not always obvious online. The town itself has enough cafes and shops to make a morning browseable, but the library alone isn't a reason to visit the area.
