Longfield wood

Longfield Wood is a proper Sussex woodland just outside Hailsham, the sort of place where you can actually lose yourself for an afternoon without needing a map or a membership fee. The walking trails wind through dense deciduous forest - oak, beech, and hazel mostly - with enough variation to keep things interesting whether you're doing a quick thirty-minute loop or settling in for a proper two-hour ramble.
