The experience works best for families with children under about ten. Teenagers will likely find it a bit tame after twenty minutes, and adults without kids in tow might feel a touch out of place. The farm's attached to Attingham Park itself, so if you're staying at Love2Stay or one of the other caravan parks within a few miles of Shrewsbury, combining a morning here with an afternoon exploring the grand house and its grounds makes solid sense.

You're looking at roughly two hours maximum, depending on how long your child wants to spend persuading a goat to eat from their hand. Peak times - school holidays, weekends in summer - get rammed, so aim for a weekday morning if you can swing it. The Condover and Ebury Hill sites are close enough for a straightforward drive over.

It's the sort of place that delivers exactly what it promises without pretension. Not a day out on its own, but a useful chunk of a longer Shropshire stay, particularly if you're mixing countryside with some proper walking or exploring Shrewsbury town itself.
