Hawber Hill

The walk up Hawber Hill rewards you with proper views across the Ribble Valley - nothing dramatic, but on a clear day you can pick out the Pennines rolling away to the east. It's a straightforward fell walk from Skipton, taking maybe an hour and a half up and back depending on your pace and how long you linger at the top. The summit itself is modest, moorland rather than rocky outcrop, but that's partly why it works - you don't get the crowds you'd find on bigger peaks, and there's something quite peaceful about it.
