The walk up Greyspot Hill takes maybe twenty minutes from the car park, and it's straightforward enough for most fitness levels. What strikes you at the top is how the Surrey landscape spreads out properly - you can see right across the woodland and farmland that makes this corner of Bracknell Forest worth the leg work. It's not dramatic or Alpine, but it rewards the effort with decent views and a genuine sense of being somewhere rather than just passing through.

Walkers will get the most from this. Families with younger kids might find it a bit underwhelming unless they're genuinely keen on getting to a viewpoint. The ground can be boggy in places, so proper footwear matters. There's no café or facilities at the summit, so bring water.

Grey spot sits well within a wider walking holiday based around Guildford, which is only a short drive away. If you're staying at Chapel Farm Park or Warfield Park - both solid choices if you want to stay local - Greyspot Hill makes a decent half-morning outing before heading into town proper. It's the sort of place that slots nicely into a longer itinerary rather than being a destination in itself. Worth doing, but don't build your whole trip around it.
