Fox's Pulpit

A stone pulpit carved into the fell side near Kendal marks where George Fox, the Quaker founder, preached to crowds in the 1650s. The spot sits on open moorland with proper fell views stretching out, and the walk to reach it is pleasant rather than punishing.
