The Wye Valley has no shortage of green spaces, but Falaise Open Space feels properly removed from the usual tourist trail despite being barely outside Ross-on-Wye. Access details are thin on the ground, so it's worth checking locally before you go. If you're based at White House on Wye Glamping or Tresseck Campsite, both within a few miles, this slots nicely into a longer day out exploring the valley. Pair it with a riverside walk or one of the better-known spots in the area rather than treating it as a standalone visit.

The real appeal is the absence of crowds. No car parks, no visitor centres, no queues - just a genuine slice of Herefordshire's quieter side. That's either exactly what you're after or not what you came for at all.
