Families won't get much from it alone - it's really for the sort of person who enjoys spotting how villages tell their own stories. Walkers heading between Dalham and nearby countryside might pause here. If you're staying at Church View Campsite just down the road, it's an easy leg-stretch on the way through.

The carving's decent quality and the symbolism works. Summer light shows it off better than winter dreariness. Free, obviously - it's a village sign. Don't make a special journey from Bury unless you're already walking this way, but if you're passing through Dalham itself, look up.
