Càrn Phris Mhoir

The walk up Càrn Phris Mhoir isn't going to break you, but it's steep enough that you'll feel properly accomplished at the top. This Highland peak sits within reach of Inverness, making it a decent half-day outing if you're based nearby or staying at one of the local glamping spots like Tomatin's pods.

What you get is genuine mountain air and proper views across the Highlands - the kind of vista that makes sense of why people travel north in the first place. On a clear day the perspective shifts from Inverness outwards to the moorland stretching towards more serious peaks. The path is manageable for anyone reasonably fit, though it's not a stroll.
