The golf club sits on the edge of Conwy, a proper links course that's been going since the Victorian era. If you're a golfer staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Bryn Morfa is just a few hundred metres away - it's worth knowing about, though you'll need to be a member or have an arrangement to play.

For non-golfers, honestly, there's not much to do here. It's a working golf course, not a visitor attraction with a café or viewing areas. The setting's pleasant enough, looking out towards the town and the river, but you're essentially standing outside someone's private club watching other people hit balls. Bit of a wasted trip if you're not planning to play.

If you are a golfer and you're based in one of the holiday parks dotted around the area - Aberconwy Resort is half a mile away, Conwy Holiday Park just under two - it's worth ringing ahead to see if they do day rates for visitors. The course itself has character, the kind of place that feels established without being snobby about it.

Really though, Conwy's got far more interesting things pulling your attention. The castle dominates everything, and there are proper walks along the town walls. Hit the golf club only if you've got your clubs in the car and a few free hours. Otherwise, spend your time exploring the medieval streets and the riverside.
