Cockley Moor

Scrambling up this fell north of Penrith reveals why the locals keep quiet about it. Cockley Moor offers proper Lake District views without the crowds that plague Helvellyn or Catbells. The summit sits at a modest height, making it doable for most walkers without requiring mountaineering skills.
