About Clints Hill
This is walking terrain, pure and simple. Families with young kids might find it a bit grinding, especially if the ground's wet, but anyone aged eight upwards with reasonable fitness will get something out of it. The summit itself isn't dramatic - there's no trig point or shelter - but the position is genuinely good, and on a clear day you can see right across to the fells beyond Wensleydale.
There's nothing to pay, nowhere to book. Start early if you want to avoid the afternoon crowds in summer, and bring proper footwear because the descent can be slippery when it's been raining. If you're based at Woodhouse Farm Holiday Park, just down the road towards Leyburn, it's an excellent half-day outing that won't fight you for time against other attractions. Worth doing, though it's straightforward rather than spectacular.
