The Church of All Saints sits on the edge of Skipsea, a few miles from Driffield, looking out towards the coast with the sort of windswept dignity you only find in East Yorkshire churches. This isn't a destination that demands hours of your time. You're looking at a decent twenty minutes if you're genuinely interested in the stonework and fixtures, less if you're just passing through. It works well as a stop-off if you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Mill Farm Country Park and Skipsea Sands Holiday Park are practically on the doorstep, making it an easy leg-stretch between the caravan and the beach. History types will find enough to satisfy casual interest; it's not grand enough to justify a special journey from Driffield, but if you're already in the area, it's well worth the detour. The real draw is the sense of place - this is what rural Yorkshire churches do best, sitting quietly in their villages without fuss or pretension.
