Christ Church Creekmoor is a Victorian beauty, red brick and solid, built when this bit of Dorset was still proper countryside. Inside, the light comes through decent stained glass and the whole space feels genuinely peaceful - no tourists, just locals and the occasional walker who's stumbled off the path.

It's not a showstopper in the style of some cathedral - you won't spend hours here - but it's absolutely worth the diversion if you're staying at Sandford Holiday Park nearby. Twenty minutes maximum to have a proper look around, take in the details, sit in a pew if you fancy. The interior has that quiet, almost meditative quality that modern buildings struggle to capture.
