The Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd sits quietly on the edge of Conwy, a Victorian-era stone structure that rewards a proper look if you're passing through. Built in the 1850s when Catholics could finally worship openly again in Wales, it's a genuinely moving little building - high ceilings, proper craftsmanship, and that particular stillness you only get inside old churches. This isn't a tourist honeypot, which is rather the point. Worth a detour if you're into Victorian religious architecture or simply need a moment of peace between busier attractions, but don't expect crowds or much in the way of visitor facilities. Go when it's open - assumption being weekdays and Sunday services - and bring a bit of quiet with you.
