The walk itself is straightforward rather than dramatic - expect moorland paths and open hilltop terrain that rewards you with proper 360-degree perspectives once you're up there. The summit's an honest climb, nothing that requires kit or experience, just steady legs and decent boots. On a clear day you can see across the Preseli Hills and down towards the coast. It's the sort of place where you might encounter precisely nobody else, which some will find blissful and others slightly dull depending on their temperament.

Historie-minded walkers will appreciate that this area has layers - Bronze Age burial cairns dot the ridges around here, and the landscape has that ancient, undisturbed feel that the honeypot trails around St Davids have largely lost. Families with school-age children will find it genuinely manageable, though younger kids might flag on the longer approach paths. Allow two to three hours return depending on your pace and how long you linger at the top. There's no visitor facility or parking infrastructure to speak of - you'll need to scout for roadside spots near Ganol and navigate from there.
