Budock Wood

The woodland walk through Budock Wood near Helston is a straightforward affair - dense Cornish forest with proper moss-covered paths and the kind of quiet that makes you remember why you came to Cornwall in the first place. It's not dramatic. There are no cliff-edge views or Instagram moments waiting around the bend. What you get instead is the simple pleasure of walking through native woodland where the trees do most of the talking.

The forest itself is manageable on foot, with paths that won't have you scrambling over roots or fighting through undergrowth. It's the sort of place where families with young kids won't feel lost after twenty minutes, though they might need coaxing if screens have rotted their attention spans. Dog walkers rate it.
