Bradfield Church, High Bradfield

The walk up to High Bradfield is half the charm. You're climbing proper moorland on the edge of Sheffield, with views that stretch across the valleys - and then suddenly there's this little stone church sitting alone on the hillside like it's been waiting for you. Bradfield Church is modest, honestly. A 12th-century structure that's seen better days structurally speaking, but there's something quite moving about its isolation and the sheer age of the place.

Inside, it's intimate and straightforward - no grand Gothic drama, just a working church with medieval bones. The graveyard matters more than the interior if you're after atmosphere.
