There's a working farm at the heart of 4 Kingdoms, which means you get animals alongside the rides - a proper mix if you're after something beyond the usual theme park formula. The place sits just outside Newbury in West Berkshire, handy if you're already parked up at Bishops Green Farm Campsite or Cherry Bird Country Park nearby.

The setup is geared squarely at younger families rather than thrill-seekers. You've got adventure play areas, some rides pitched at the under-twelves bracket, and the farm element means kids can actually interact with animals rather than just stare through glass. It's the sort of place where a six-year-old will have a proper day out but a bored teenager might clock-watch after a couple of hours.

The real appeal is the mix - you can't do this at Chessington or Thorpe Park. One minute your kids are on a ride, the next they're feeding goats or watching a tractor demonstration. That said, it's not massive, so don't expect to spend eight hours here. Half a day to a full day depending on how much farm-based content holds their attention.
