The main draw is climbing through vintage planes and getting into the cockpits. Kids love it, especially the younger end who haven't yet realised they should find everything boring. The flight simulators are the real deal too - not dodgy arcade machines, but proper setups where you can actually learn the basics of flying. Adults with any interest in aviation will lose hours here. Even if you're just vaguely curious, it's the kind of place that hooks you.

It's only a few miles from Southampton, which means you can base yourself at any of the nearby caravan parks - Dibles Park, Mercury Holiday Park, or Solent Breezes are all within easy striking distance. Allow at least three to four hours, longer if someone in your group wants to try multiple simulator sessions.

Best visited on a quieter weekday if possible. School holidays get rammed, and the appeal drops when you're queuing behind thirty other families. The grounds are straightforward to navigate, though it's not the sort of place you'd combine with a massive walking trip.
