St Helen's Church is worth a look too - lovely Norman architecture if that's your thing.

Shackerstone Park Coverts offers excellent woodland walking when you need to stretch your legs, and the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Wood provides newer trails through well-maintained paths. Both are proper escapes from urban life without requiring a long trek.
