Avoid. Unfortunately we had booked at the same time as Storm Amy came through. The property refused to refund our money despite the ferry being cancelled so we couldn’t get there. I had to reach out to them regarding what Storm Amy would mean for our stay, they weren’t proactive at all. Their only suggestion was that we claim the stay on travel insurance (ours doesn’t cover it). Lost over GBP 3...
We had a wonderful stay at Sunnybrae, staying 4 nights in Gannet. The accommodation was excellent- it was spotlessly clean and well equipped (even sharp knives that are often lacking in holiday accommodation!). We traveled nearly 600 miles to be greeted by Dolphins and the friendly owners on our arrival. This place is just beautiful, all you can hear are the birds, seals, water and the ferry. The accommodation has all you need to enjoy a peaceful break away. The ferry is quick and easy so do not be put off by this. We were also lucky to have great weather.
6 stars for location! Mesmerised by stunning view of Cuan Sound, caravan immediately on the waters edge. So many birds to see, saw a few seals too. So peaceful. We were welcomed by Mike, super friendly and helpful. Caravan was modern and very clean, well laid out and everything you'd need for self catering. Superb base for exploring the island of Luing. Great walk round to Cullipool, the Is...
Just had a week in a caravan on the waters edge. Fantastic quiet location. Lots of wildlife. Dolphins and seals swimming right in front of the caravan. Otters fishing and eating shellfish on the rocks. Saw a golden eagle fly over and red deer across the water. The caravan and site are very well looked after and well equipped. Highly recommend.
