Sherwood Forest Holiday Park

Great place to camp. Staff are very nice. Well maintained. Shop basic but good, on site activities for younger kids like bear hunt and find the insects. River fun to be had. Showes and loos good, not far from village and supermarket. Highly recommend.

Avoid riverside if you’re after a peaceful holiday. The site is beautiful and well maintained. Staff friendly. But we’ve just had a week from hell as our pitch was the “pathway’ to the river. 20+ kids moving my chairs.

It’s a nice campsite, however, the showers where we stayed offered the push in button type, average 15 seconds between push!!! They were also one directional, and no option to change the heat setting (set to hot, and we stayed during the heatwave), not ideal. Stayed here over bank holiday weekend, the location itself is lovely and the wardens very helpful. We stayed on riverside, mainly because it was near the play park. Just spent our Easter break here at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park. Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were brilliant, the site was clean and we had asked for a quieter part of the site which we got - and the pitches were a very good size.
