Dornoch Firth Caravan Park

Good, clean grass pitches with excellent adjacent wash facilities. Shower rooms particularly good. The only thing to be aware of is that you are ten metres from the A836 road, which has traffic throughout the night, and about two metres (!) from the main rail line, which is quiet at night, but runs from around 5.45am.

Stayed 25/08/2025 - Roof tent camping We would highly recommend for a 1 night stay if doing the NC500. Good area for our 3 tiny tents at the bottom of the site. We were sandwiched between the railway and the road, sometimes feeling like trains or cars were about to come into the tent! Good showers and laundry/ kitchen where we could charge our devices before continuing towards John O'Groats

We stayed here for 2 nights recently on our way to complete the NC500. The Irish owner is lovely, very welcoming and looks after his park impeccably. The facilities are spotless. Always had hot water, the toilets and showers were modern and heated. The washing machine and dryer were by far the cheapest we saw over our 11 day holiday (£3 wash, £1 dryer). Lovely site. Mainly static caravans but a lovely small space for campers/tents, picnic tables and drinking water standpipes close by. The facilities were top notch, absolutely spotless. I've stayed in hotels that didn't have the extras that this site has. Free hairdryer, laundry room with sinks, plenty of hot water, washer, dryer (for a small fee, coin operated).
