Yogis Field

You'll find yourself on proper wetland when you visit Yogis Field, a nature reserve tucked away near Cranbrook in Kent. The reserve itself is manageable on foot, with paths winding through reedbeds and open water that genuinely feel removed from the A-road chaos nearby.

Walkers and twitchers will get the most from this one. Families with young children might find it a bit too quiet and lacking facilities - there's not a café or visitor centre to speak of. Give yourself a couple of hours if you're serious about spotting something, less if you're just after a gentle stroll and some fresh air.
