The Wooden Throne is a rather unusual gallery space in Cumbria that specialises in wood sculpture and carved furniture pieces. It's genuinely worth a visit if you've got any interest in woodwork or contemporary craft, though it's not the sort of place you'll spend half a day in. The gallery tends to appeal more to adults and serious makers than families with young kids - there's not much interactive about it, and the work is fairly precious.
