The terrain is flat and easy, which makes it accessible for most abilities, though the paths can get boggy after rain - wellies aren't a bad shout. You're looking at a couple of hours for a decent walk, less if you're just after a quick leg-stretch. Birdwatchers will get the most from it, especially during migration seasons when the wetland draws in visiting species. Families with younger kids might find it a bit limited if they're after playground time, but if they're into spotting wildlife it'll keep them occupied.

It sits nicely within a broader Kent walking itinerary, and if you're staying at Thriftwood Country Park five miles away, it makes a solid morning or afternoon outing. The nearby Sevenoaks offers proper amenities - cafes, shops, that sort of thing - if you need to refuel afterwards. There's no visitor centre as far as I can tell, so come prepared with binoculars and a bit of patience. Free to access, naturally, which is always welcome. Best visited early morning when the birds are most active and you've got the paths largely to yourself.
