Warton Holy Trinity Church

The church sits quietly on the edge of Warton, a proper medieval structure that rewards a detour if you're camping nearby at Atherstone Stables or one of the other parks dotted around Atherstone. Holy Trinity is the kind of place where you notice the stonework first - solid Perpendicular Gothic, the sort of building that's been doing its job for five centuries without fuss.

Inside, it's genuinely worth twenty minutes of your time. The chancel and nave have decent period details, and if you're into that sort of thing, the windows tell a story. There's a real sense of being in a working parish church rather than a museum piece, which means it feels lived-in and honest.

This is best for walkers and history types rather than anyone expecting theatrical grandeur. Kids might manage ten minutes before restlessness sets in, but if you're staying at one of the caravan parks within a few miles and fancy a gentle countryside walk, combining it with a ramble through the local lanes works well.
