About Upside Down House - Brighton
Built as a novelty attraction years back, it remains one of those things that makes you stop mid-stride and actually look twice. The exterior does all the talking - you're not going inside, you're just standing on the pavement gawping at the architectural impossibility of it. Kids find it brilliant, adults find it amusing enough to snap a photo and move on. It takes five minutes, maybe ten if you're the type to examine how they've actually managed it.
The real appeal is that it costs nothing and requires zero planning. You're in Brighton anyway, so it's a quick detour while wandering the seafront or heading through the North Laine. No opening hours to check, no entry fee to wrangle. Just there, being ridiculous.
If you're camping locally - and there's decent stock nearby with Pegs and Pitches just over a mile away or Chalky Downs a touch further out - bundle it into a morning wander. Don't make it your day's anchor though. It's a laugh and a talking point, nothing more. The sort of thing you'll mention to mates afterwards: "We saw this house that was literally upside down." Perfectly odd.
