Tresaith

Standing at the clifftop car park, you'll spot Tresaith's defining feature immediately - a 20-foot waterfall tumbling directly onto the beach below. This isn't your typical Welsh seaside spot; where most coastal villages keep their streams tucked away inland, Tresaith puts its waterfall centre stage.

Families love the drama of it all. Kids spend hours darting between the cascade and the waves, though the water's properly chilly even in summer. The beach itself is a decent stretch of sand and pebbles, backed by colourful beach huts that photograph well but don't offer much shelter when the wind picks up.

Walkers get the best deal here - the coastal path section from Tresaith to nearby Llangrannog ranks among Ceredigion's finest. It's a proper workout with some steep sections, but the clifftop views more than justify the effort.

Timing matters. High tide swallows much of the beach, while summer weekends see the tiny village car park fill up fast. Early morning or late afternoon visits work best, especially for photographers chasing that golden light on the waterfall.
