About Coronation Park
What you'll find is typical West Wales woodland and wetland: paths that meander without drama, patches of open water where dragonflies are active in summer, and enough vegetation to keep bird-watchers entertained for an hour or two. There's nothing showy about it. No visitor centre that I'm aware of, no cafes, no facilities to write home about. But that's rather the point. It's genuine and ungussied-up.
Bring binoculars if you're into that sort of thing. The spring is cracking for migrant birds; autumn sees redwings and fieldfares. Families with younger kids will find it manageable, though they'll want something more involving afterwards - the Cardigan area itself has better attractions if you're bored within the hour. Allow 45 minutes to an hour, longer if you're serious about the birdlife. Go when there's less foot traffic - early morning or mid-week is wise.
