The Pawsome Park near Frodsham is exactly what it sounds like - a place built entirely around dogs and the people who can't get enough of them. You'll find everything from agility courses to dog-friendly walking routes, with the sort of facilities that make you wonder why every park in Cheshire isn't run this way. It's the kind of spot where your spaniel will have more fun than you do, honestly.

The main draw is obvious: off-lead areas where dogs can actually be dogs, plus proper training zones if you're serious about that sort of thing. There are usually water stations dotted about and shaded rest areas, which matters more than you'd think on a warm afternoon. The walking trails themselves are decent enough - nothing that'll knock your socks off in terms of scenery, but perfectly fine for a couple of hours.

Dog owners will absolutely get the most out of this. If you're holiday-park camping at Lloyds Meadow or Delamere Forest just a few miles away, it's worth the short drive as a morning activity.
