If you're based at one of the nearby caravan sites - Holden Farm up towards the north gets the best reviews and sits at five stars - Winchester itself is compact enough that The Last Judgement fits easily into a morning wander. Hookpit Farm is nearer if you're after convenience, though Holden Farm's café is a proper draw if you've got families.

Honestly though, treat this as a bonus rather than a destination in itself. It takes two minutes to see, which is fine, but you'll want to spend proper time in Winchester proper - the cathedral, the high street - to make a day of it. The bollard is the cherry on top once you've done the rest.
