The Groves

The Groves is a proper woodland walk just outside Stockbridge, the sort of place where you can lose an hour without even trying. Ancient beech and oak trees create a canopy thick enough that even on bright days there's a cool, filtered light that makes the whole thing feel rather peaceful. The forest floor is soft underfoot, carpeted with leaf litter and moss, and the paths wind through without being obvious or overcrowded.

It's ideal for families who want their kids to actually enjoy a walk rather than complain about their legs. The terrain is gentle enough for younger children, but there's enough to explore - streams, dappled clearings, the occasional view where the trees open up - that they won't get bored halfway through.
