The Carrs

The Carrs is a proper woodland walk just outside Horncastle, the kind of place that feels forgotten by most tourists but rewarded those who stumble upon it. You're walking through mixed broadleaf forest where the canopy gets thick enough to block out the sky on wet days, and the paths are well-trodden but never rammed. The undergrowth changes with the seasons - bluebells in spring, decent fungi colonies come autumn.
