The dog park at Sutterton is exactly what it says on the tin - a proper space where dogs can run about without a lead, which frankly is harder to find than you'd think in this part of Lincolnshire. Located just a short drive from Boston, it's the kind of place that solves a real problem if you're touring the area with a four-legged friend who's been cooped up in the car.

What makes it worth stopping for is the genuine off-lead freedom. There's room to let them burn off energy before a longer country walk, and the ground is manageable underfoot. You'll see locals with their spaniels and collies most afternoons, so there's usually someone to have a chat with if you fancy it.
