Pair it with a stay at Roselands Caravan Camping Park just four miles away, and you've got an easy leg-stretch between other attractions. Foxglove Field Glamping sits a bit further out at five and a half miles, but if you're glamping there, the walk to Stone Cross is manageable and genuinely pleasant.

Go midweek if you can. It's not crowded anyway, but the morning light on that stone is worth catching when you've got the place to yourself. No facilities, no cafe - just you and several centuries of Cornish history standing in the wind.
