Stone Cliff Wood

Walk into Stone Cliff Wood near Sandbach and you'll understand why locals keep coming back. It's a proper woodland - nothing manicured, just tall trees, decent paths, and that particular quiet you only get when you're properly surrounded by forest. The ground's usually a bit soft underfoot, especially after rain, and the light filters through the canopy in that lovely way that makes you forget the car park exists.
