Stag Meadow

Stag Meadow is a sports facility in Bracknell Forest, just a handful of miles from Windsor. It's the sort of place you'd bring kids to burn off energy on a Saturday morning - football pitches, tennis courts, the usual municipal setup. Nothing fancy, but it does what it says on the tin.

If you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Cranbourne Hall or Queens Acre are closest - you've got somewhere to get out for a proper kick-about without having to drive far. Young footballers will get a decent hour or two here. Families wanting more than just a playing field, though, might find it a bit thin on entertainment. There's no café I'm aware of, no viewing areas worth mentioning.

The real draw here is convenience. You're camped nearby, the weather's decent, and you want the kids somewhere active. It ticks that box. For walkers or anyone after a scenic afternoon, look elsewhere - this is functional sports provision, not a destination in its own right. Worth knowing about if you've got sporty kids in tow, but I wouldn't plan a whole day around it.
