On a Saturday afternoon with a decent crowd, it's got real character.

If you're a football fan staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Podiau Môn is closest at just over three miles away, with Black Horse Glamping and Tros Y Waen also nearby - catching a Bangor City match is a straightforward local experience. The town of Bangor itself is walkable, so you could easily combine it with a pint beforehand in the town centre. Families with kids who support the local team would enjoy it; those after a quiet holiday probably won't.

The stadium doesn't charge admission for training sessions or non-match days, though matchday tickets are required for games. It's worth checking the club's fixture list before you arrive if you're keen - the Welsh football season runs September to May, so winter holidays are your best bet. Allow a couple of hours for the full experience including getting there from the caravan parks and settling in before kick-off.
