The Towy Valley walks are excellent, and Laugharne itself is worth a proper afternoon. St Ystyffan's works best as part of a broader exploration of rural Carmarthenshire rather than a destination in itself. Families might find it dull; walkers treating it as a quiet halfway point would do better.
