You'll hear more birdsong than traffic here.

Walkers who don't mind scrambling over fallen logs and navigating unmarked trails will love it. The terrain can be challenging, so probably not ideal for pushchair-wielding families or anyone expecting clearly signposted routes. Getting there requires local knowledge or a decent OS map, as it's not exactly well-advertised. The forest sits just outside Kidwelly, making it a cracking escape if you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks like Carmarthen Bay or Ferryside Farm.
