St Swithun's Church

You'll find St Swithun's tucked away in the countryside just outside Hull, a proper medieval church that's been standing here for centuries. The building itself is the draw - solid stone walls, a decent tower, and that worn look that comes from genuine age rather than renovation work. Inside, there's the usual mix of old pews, some decent stained glass, and memorial plaques that tell you far more about local life than any guide book could.

Both give you easy access to this corner of the countryside without needing to drive miles for a decent walk or a bit of local exploration. Hull itself is close enough for a day trip if the weather turns.
