The church sits right in the heart of Shrewsbury, a proper medieval structure that catches you off guard when you round the corner. St Peter's isn't flashy - it's solid, genuine, with that worn stone exterior that speaks of centuries of use rather than restoration for show.

What you get is a working parish church with real character. The interior has decent stained glass and the kind of quiet that makes you actually think for a moment. There's a hall attached which occasionally hosts events, though it's not a major draw in itself. The churchyard's pleasant enough if you need somewhere to sit and decompress from the town centre bustle.

St Peter's slots in nicely alongside the other medieval attractions rather than being a standalone reason to detour. Worth an hour if you're in town, but don't plan your whole trip around it.
