You'll find St Peter's Church tucked into the village of Hargrave, just outside Chester, and it's worth a detour if you're into the kind of quiet, unhurried village exploration that makes a caravan holiday feel properly restorative. It's the sort of attraction that works best if you're already walking through Cheshire rather than a destination in its own right, but that's not a criticism. Fifteen minutes here, maybe twenty if you're reading every inscription, slots nicely into a morning loop around the villages. The building is quiet - genuinely quiet - which is increasingly rare. There's a particular appeal if you're interested in medieval parish churches or local Cheshire history; families with young children will probably want to keep moving unless they're genuinely fascinated by old tombs.

Access seems straightforward and the village setting is pleasant. Given you've got Little Pig Glamping just 1.8 miles away and Manor Wood at 5.2 miles, you could easily combine a morning church-spotting walk with the kind of low-key countryside pottering that makes these parks worthwhile. Chester itself is close enough for a full day out if you need something more structured.
