The walk down to it rewards you with views across the loch toward the Mamores, and on a clear day the light hits the water in a way that makes the detour genuinely worthwhile. Allow twenty minutes to reach it from Ballachulish, longer if you're the type to sit and soak in the silence for a bit.

This works best for walkers and history types rather than families with small children - there's no playground and the interest is quite specific. You won't find much by way of facilities, and access depends entirely on whether the church happens to be open when you visit. The smart move is to pair this with a base at one of the nearby sites. Red Squirrel Campsite is the stronger choice if you want a five-star experience, though Invercoe Caravan Park is perfectly solid if you're after something less fussy. Both put you within easy reach of Glencoe proper and the wider hiking routes that make this corner of the Highlands so magnetic. If you're already in the area for the bigger attractions, St Mun's is worth the short detour. If you're making the journey specifically for an old church, you might find yourself wanting more substance.
