The grey stone walls of this medieval church rise quietly from Dumfries town centre, a working parish church that's been here since the 14th century. Inside, the light falls through tall windows onto dark wooden pews and flagstone floors - it's the kind of place where you can actually feel the centuries pressing down on you. The building itself matters more than any single artifact. High stone arches. Plain glass.
