St George's Church, Brede

The churchyard at Brede sits quietly off the main road between Battle and the coast, the kind of place you'd miss entirely if you weren't looking for it. Inside, the church is genuinely worth a look. Families with young kids might find it a bit static, but walkers combining this with a proper route around the area will appreciate the stop.

The location between Battle and Hastings puts you in proper walking country, and this makes a decent waypoint rather than a destination in itself.
